Hey Reader, Before I became an author... Before I started my podcast... Before I stepped onto conference stages... I was a teacher. For nearly two decades, I had the privilege of working alongside incredible students and families. Every day reminded me that education is about so much more than academics—it's about seeing people, listening to their stories, and helping them discover what's possible. Those years taught me three lessons that continue to shape everything I do today: ❤️ Every child deserves to be seen. 📖 Every family has a story. 🌍 Every community has strengths worth celebrating. Today, I may serve in different ways—as a cultural consultant, keynote speaker, podcast host, and author—but my mission hasn't changed. I still believe education has the power to build bridges. I still believe stories create understanding. And I still believe meaningful conversations can change communities. That's why every podcast episode I record, every workshop I facilitate, and every page I write is rooted in the lessons I first learned inside a classroom. If you've been following my journey, thank you. Whether you've been here since my teaching days or you recently joined this community because of The Orange Blossom or The Cultural Curriculum Chat™ Podcast, I'm grateful you're here. I'd love to invite you to take the next step.📚 Read my novel, The Orange Blossom 🎙️ Listen to the latest podcast episode 🤝 Bring me to your organization 👉 Choose where you'd like to start: No matter where this journey leads, I'm honored to have you walking alongside me. Hey Reader, One of the most powerful parts of any professional development session is not always the presentation itself — it’s the questions that come afterward. Recently, I had the opportunity to respond to thoughtful follow-up questions from educators who were navigating difficult classroom moments involving race, identity, peer conflict, restorative practices, and inclusive teaching.
